We are currently seeking a Distribution Manager for our 235,000 square foot facility in Romeoville, IL. As the Manager of this high volume distribution facility with 2,600 lines shipped daily, you will develop and maintain transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. Select appropriate delivery methods to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Guide and direct a staff of 80 professional and hourly associates; with 7 direct reports. Your
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily management of the people, processes and tools and equipment in support of all Distribution operations.
Initiate and facilitate area business and process improvements with use of lean business practices.
Analyze department workload and schedule requirements to develop execution plans, including manning and support personnel requirements and resource planning.
Communicate objectives, status and other issues as necessary, i.e. regular scheduled team meetings.
Support/implement the performance management system including identification and achievement of goals.
Ethically protect company resources and best interest.
Establish safety procedures to ensure a clean, safe work environment is promoted and maintained.
Establish and manage department budgets and resources in support of cost and quality objectives.
Foster relationships with other Bosch locations. (Domestic and International)
Develop and implement a Loss Prevention strategy.
Your competencies and
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering or related field required.
Minimum of 5
years experience in Warehousing/Shipping or Logistics is required.
Experience working with ground, ocean and air freight carriers.
Lean/Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies is a plus.
Experience with BAAN or other ERP/WMS systems is required.
Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
Minimum of 3 years experience with Import/Export laws and procedures preferred.
Ability to lift a minimum of 45 lbs is required.
APICS CPIM is a plus. Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
