Full Time Special Education Teacher
Job Description SPED Teacher Needed for Immediate Start Location:
Romeoville, Illinois Join a company that values your skills and experience! We are in search of full time Special Education Teachers that have a desire to work with school aged students who grades can range from K-5th grade.
(Less than 13 students).
During the 2023-2024 school year, the Special Education Teacher will be responsible for effectively collaborating with the student's academic support team in order to compose Individualized Education Plans for each student on the caseload.
The Special Education teacher will also be responsible for monitoring student goals and preparing quarterly progress reports.
Responsibilities:
Providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans.
Administers developmental testing programs, subject specific assessments, etc.
for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans.
Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes Demonstrates methods required to perform classroom and/or subject specific assignments for the purpose of providing an effective program that addressing individual student requirements.
Requirements Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
